According to Islamic scholarship it has a wider specification of modesty, privacy and morality. Islamic modesty is interpreted uniquely by each practicing individual determined by their specific beliefs. Some women wear complete garments leaving only their eyes visible; whilst others only feel it important to cover their hair and cleavage.

The rules of concealment are likely to be relaxed for elderly women. It can be commonly viewed that they're beyond the prospect of marriage and for that reason may lay aside their outer garments. However, they must still not produce a wanton display of the beauty.
